Payment Specialist

We are looking for a Payment Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, managing payments and reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance with internal controls and external regulations while ensuring a smooth and efficient payment process for our customers, vendors, and stakeholders.

• Process outgoing payments, including vendor payments, employee reimbursements, customer refunds, and other financial transactions through bank transfers, cards, checks, and digital payment methods.
• Monitor daily payment activity and ensure transactions are processed accurately and within required timelines.
• Reconcile bank accounts, payment gateways, and internal financial records, identifying and resolving discrepancies when they arise.
• Maintain accurate payment documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Ensure payment activities comply with applicable financial regulations, AML requirements, and internal policies and controls.
• Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Customer Support, banks, payment processors, and other stakeholders to resolve payment-related questions and escalations.
• Identify opportunities to improve payment processes, reduce manual work, and increase operational efficiency.
• Support the testing, implementation, and improvement of new payment systems, tools, and automation initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain relevant payment reports and assist with financial analysis when required.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in payments processing, accounts payable/receivable, treasury, or related financial operations.

Strong Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations).
